we welcome you to mi paddle adventure, the uncommon adventures website. uncommon adventures provides guided coastal kayaking trips and kayak instruction in the great lakes region. our michigan base is near traverse city, mi. we also host paddlesport retreats in roatan, honduras and the florida keys, as well as sea kayak expeditions in greenland and alaska. we are known for our personable, knowledgeable aca-certified instructors, outstanding food and high-quality equipment. owner / operator michael gray, one of the most experienced and respected coastal touring guides in the country, is also a well-known backcountry chef and author of the backcountry cook book hey! i'd eat this at home!
